Saints owner Tom Benson, along with Superdome officials, debuted a new $1.6 million dollar LED exterior lighting system Thursday night. It is the largest installation of its kind in the U.S. and includes five miles of copper wiring. It’s pretty energy-efficient, too — using roughly the same amount of energy it takes to power a small home. The lights can be configured to do virtually anything.
