On this morning’s Meet the Press on WDSU, Gov. Bobby Jindal said a paper like The Times-Picayune plays an important role in holding the goverment accountable. Consequently, Jindal doesn’t like the idea of reducing publishing to three days a week.
“I’m saddened by this development,” Jindal told MTP moderator David Gregory. “A great American city without a major daily newspaper, I don’t think that’s a good development for Democracy.”
