L.A. Vacation Recap (w/Pics)

My wife and I spent last Thursday-Sunday in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Hollywood and Santa Monica. What a trip. The weather was the best part — 60-75 degrees and sunny during the day, 50s and cool at night. I don’t think we saw a cloud the entire time.

We stayed at the Beverly Hilton and just happened to be there during the TCA (Television Critics Association) event. Celebs were mingling in the lobby every day. We saw Connie Britton, Michael Chiklis, Vanessa Williams, Charlie Sheen, Selma Blair and Jeff Probst to name a few. It was surreal.

We visited the Santa Monica Pier, walked the Hollywood Walk of Fame, checked out the celeb hand and foot imprints outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater, toured CBS Television City (thanks to a friend who works on Young & The Restless), toured SportsCenter L.A. (thanks to former WDSU sports anchor Stan Verrett), ventured into the Hollywood Hills to see the Hollywood sign, walked through The Grove and the L.A. Farmer’s Market and window-shopped on Rodeo Drive. It was a whirlwind four days and we had a blast…but it’s good to be home, oppressive heat and humidity and all.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the trip.
