Saints/Falcons: Highest-Rated Cable Program of 2010

Monday night’s showdown in the Georgia Dome between the Saints and Falcons was the highest-rated cable broadcast of the year. Monday Night Football on ESPN also wrapped up its best year in five seasons.

According to ESPN, the broadcast, simulcast by WDSU, registered a 13 rating. That works out to about 13 million households and 19 million people. The game ranks as the third-largest cable television audience all-time among both households and viewers, excluding breaking news.
