So It’s the Seahawks…

The Saints (11-5) will travel to Seattle this week to play the NFC West Champion Seahawks (7-9) in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. To get back to the Super Bowl, the Saints will have to win three straight on the road.

The Who Dats have excelled on the road under Sean Payton. Since 2006, Payton’s first year, the Saints have the fourth-best road record in the NFL at 25-15. They’ve won 13 of their past 16 on the road and compiled a 6-2 road record this season.

Qwest Field, the $650-million dollar home of the Seahawks, is considered one of the loudest stadiums in the league. The team even recognizes its “12th Man” each game by raising a flag in the crowd’s honor.

  1. The Saints sure got an easy first round matchup getting to face the Seahawks at home, in theory at least. They haven’t played that well all season, at least in relative terms to last season, but I think that they have a shot to make a run at the Super Bowl. Obviously they shouldn’t have it as tough as other wild card teams as they have to play the Seahawks, but they are also in the been there, done that kind of place, which gives them a big edge over teams like the Bears and Packers. It should be a very interesting NFL playoffs as no one has showed themselves to be favourites this season. Also, you think you could check out my blog cuz I would love to hear what you have to say. http://chrisross91.wordpress.com/2011/01/02/dont-forget-about-us/
