I haven’t had a chance to go on record with this, but wanted to put it out there. LSU, which I originally thought might be a 9-3 or 8-4 team, now should be more like 10-2… or better. If the offense continues to play at a highly efficient level and the defense improves as the season goes on, the sky is the limit. I think LSU will split its toughest road games — Alabama and Georgia — and maybe trip against Auburn, Florida or (at) Mississippi State.
The key to it all, of course, is the play of senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger. He’s off to a good start.
If things fall right for the Tigers, it could be a special year.
I’m interested to hear your thoughts.
