Charity has been closed since Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, but Staggs says a couple of nights ago as she was leaving work, she glanced over at the building and saw a lit Christmas tree.

“I wish the pictures did it justice,” Staggs said in a Facebook post. “I don’t know how it’s lit. I don’t know how it’s even in there, but it made me smile just a little bit tonight!”

Update II: Apparently the ‘Christmas tree’ was 2x4s draped in lights.

Update: An Instagram user says this is the story behind the picture. What do you think?

Someone broke in (or went through an unlocked door/window) and placed battery powered Christmas tree lights to make the entire world think – Cool, there’s a ghost in the abandoned hospital!
