Column: It’s a long season, Who Dats

The defense is young and has several starters out. The offense is trying to find its new identity. A team like this coming together doesn’t happen overnight, but it can happen. Will it? Who knows?

Monday Morning Saints Wrap: Cardinals Game

Let this sink in for a moment. The Saints have the 6TH RANKED DEFENSE IN THE NFL. Rob Ryan’s unit is giving up 12.7 POINTS PER GAME. Last season after three games the defense was ranked something like worst in the history of football and giving up 34 points per game.

Revisiting My Saints/Cards Predictions

I won’t quit my day job for a life reading crystal balls, but Sunday’s predictions turned out pretty well. Ok, decent. Or mediocre.

My Saints/Cardinals Game Day Predictions

The Saints take on the Cardinals at noon in the Superdome. He are some things guaranteed to happen. I know because I bounced the ideas off my 3-year-old. Check back after the game to verify my prognosticating ability.

New Orleans Makes a Bold Statement

What a five week stretch this has been. It started with the divisional playoff win over the Cardinals on Jan. 16th, continued with the NFC Championship triumph over the Vikings on Jan. 24th and hit a rousing crescendo with the Super Bowl XLIV win over the overrated Indianapolis Colts on Feb. 7th. The Saints are in the midst of the greatest season in team history. When Byron Scott was […]

Saints Will Host Cardinals

I was about to turn the game off when the Cardinals were up 31-10. Good thing I didn’t. I would have missed the highest-scoring game in NFL postseason history. Thanks to a thrilling 51-45 overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers, Arizona is bringing quarterback Kurt Warner and his high-octane offense to the Superdome next […]

Packers or Cardinals?

The Green Bay Packers, winners of seven of their last eight games, are one of the hottest teams in football. The Arizona Cardinals are a year removed from a Super Bowl appearance. Which team matches up better with the Saints? I say Arizona. But I don’t think they’ll get by the Packers. Green Bay is […]
